The first season fair in 2023 will feature exclusive products from Fukuoka prefecture in Kyushu island, Japan. Visit Tokyo Central and Marukai at our participating store locations on the following days (**see schedule below**) and you can get a chance to taste local Tohoku products!
Fukuoka Prefecture is located in the northern part of Kyushu, the most southern Japanese main islands. The prefectural capital is Fukuoka City, Kyushu’s largest city. Fukuoka has been an important harbor city for many centuries; crossroads between cultures, cultivating diversity, and cosmopolitan citizens who extend their warm welcome to those near and far. Connecting the world to a region rich in ancient culture and stunning natural beauty. It’s where tradition coexists with the contemporary and urban spaces grow in harmony with nature.
Fukuoka is known as one of the great gourmand cities of Japan. With plenty of land for farming and access to some of the freshest fish, you can often find great quality food. Historically, the city’s location on the northern shore of Kyushu made it a gateway via which Chinese and Korean influence entered the country, which led to a unique cuisine and many unique Fukuoka foods that have since become popular all throughout Japan.
**Please note: Schedule may be subject to changes. We recommend checking our schedule before visiting for the latest updates.**
From Thursday, 1/26 to Wednesday, 2/22, you can explore the specially curated selection of products from the Fukuoka Prefecture.
