In March 2023, we are featuring exclusive products from Kumamoto Prefecture in Kyushu island, Japan. Visit Tokyo Central and Marukai Market at our participating store locations on the following days (**see schedule below**) and you can get a chance to taste local Kumamoto products!

Kumamoto Prefecture, located in the center of Kyushu, is the historical and geographical heartland of Kyushu. The Hosokawa Lords of Kumamoto dominated the whole of Kyushu for centuries; the impenetrable fortress of Kumamoto Castle is still celebrated as one of the top 3 castles in all of Japan. Famous for “Mount Aso” where one of the world’s largest calderas lies, and the beautiful sea around “Amakusa”—a group of 120 islands. There is a famous active volcano resides on Mount Aso. The energy coming from this volcano blesses Kumamoto with many hot springs.

With an abundance of crystal clear water sources and rich nature, Kumamoto possesses a wide variety of ingredients. The unique variety of ingredients ranges from land products such as rice, citrus fruits, and Japanese Brown beef to seafood such as Nori seaweeds, Tiger Prawn, Cuttlefish, and Clams).

**Please note: Schedule may be subject to changes. We recommend checking our schedule before visiting for the latest updates.**

From Thursday, 3/23 to Wednesday, 4/19 you can explore the specially curated selection of products from the Kyushu Island.
