Zuke Maguro Don

Impress your loved ones with this zuke maguro don. In less than 30 minutes, you can prepare your own zuke maguro don (marinated tuna rice bowl). Simply prepare the marinade for the tuna and serve on top of a bed of rice with your favorite garnishes. We recommend avocado, shiso leaf, and mizuna leaf for a satisfying, fresh and savory bite!  

Zuke Maguro Don 

Ingredients

  • 1 pack fresh sashimi tuna
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce 
  • 2 nori sheets 
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1 cup water (This water is used to wet your hands while making onigiri.) 

Directions

1. Cut the tuna into quarter inch slices. 

2. In a small bowl combine the wet ingredients which is soy sauce, mirin, sake then mix well. 

3. Soak the tuna into the mixture for 20 minutes.

 Place the rice in the bowl, zuke maguro and the garnish goes on top.

5.
 Ready to serve.
